Based at our Luton depot, we are looking for a Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant to join A.T. Oliver & Sons ltd. The role will be to perform daily accounting and administrative tasks that will support our financial team at our head office in Luton. The role would also include working across the wider group for both Oliver Agriculture ltd and Oliver Landpower ltd.

The role would be ideal for someone who has credit control and general accounts experience and is looking to gain further experience, whilst working for a growing family owned business.

**Responsibilities**
- Reconcile purchase invoices to orders and delivery notes and identify discrepancies.
- Entering purchase invoices into our accounts systems
- Liaising with suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies
- Carrying out credit controller tasks, including building relationships with our customers and chasing outstanding debt
- Assisting with the raising of Parts and Equipment Sales Invoices
- Maintaining export paperwork, including liaising with depots to gain required documentation.
- Ensuring all Self Billing Agreements are in place and signed.
- Answering incoming phone calls to the business
- General Filing
- Preparing bank deposits
- Preparing the outgoing post
- Assisting the Managing Director with administration duties as required
- Other financial and sales administration duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Credit Control experience is desired.
- Good maths skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
- Good English writing and communication skills
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel
- Previous knowledge of a recognised accounts package
- Bookkeeping Qualification preferred but not essential.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Good organisation skills and being able to work as part of a friendly team.
- Having a can-do attitude and supporting accounts team where required.

**Benefits**
- Salary - £20k - £28k per annum, based on experience.
- Holiday entitlement - 24 days per year plus 8 bank holidays
- Pension - 3% employee contribution and 7% employer contribution
- Life Assurance including dependent’s pension.

- Ongoing training as required.

**Hours**
- Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1/2 hour unpaid for lunch (37.5 hours per week)

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
