The school offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Music and Sound, alongside those in Film and Television, Communications and Journalism.

We have a reputation for providing high quality industry-linked education, through partnerships with UK Music and a range and a range of studios, tech innovators and event organisers. We have trainer status from Avid and Pro-tools and we attract talented and motivated students who are ready to move into the workplace as soon as they graduate.

Staff in the School of Creative Industries work in specialist teams to deliver the curriculum, develop their own individual and collaborative practice and engage in research. As part of an active creative community they will also have opportunities across the school and university to collaborate with others, including external partners.

We are looking for a music and sound specialist who can bring their individual expertise to the team and collaborate across the wider school. They will have recent undergraduate teaching experience in studio recording and production, and live sound recording as well as demonstrable professional experience as a music producer, and recording and mixing engineer in studio and live settings. We are also looking for knowledge of mastering, postproduction and studio management, and of a range of digital and analogue sound recording technologies including key packages such as Pro-Tools, Logic and Ableton Live, and AVID control surfaces.

All staff are supported in their personal development whether through higher degree qualification, professional courses or the annual allocation of research and scholarly activity time.
