**About the role**

Our employment coaches are responsible for providing support and guidance to adults with barriers to employment, such as long-term health conditions, neurodiverse, physical and other disabilities, in becoming work-ready; by moving them into sustainable and meaningful employment.

You will build connections with local employers to help them understand the barriers faced by our participants and support them to become disability confident employers. You will identify employee recruitment needs and actively engage local employers onto the project to create opportunities for our participants to aid a smooth transition for them into work.

This will be a challenging yet rewarding role, working to deadlines to achieve targets. Working closely with project participants to overcome their barriers to employment and address any complex needs using and identifying a raft of local interventions and support packages to ensure they have the skills and confidence to secure and sustain employment.

This is a part time (18.5 hours pw), permanent role based across Oxfordshire, with an requirement to travel to other sites, when required. Hybrid working will also be offered.

**What do you need to be a successful Employability Coach at Activate Learning?**

You will be part of a dynamic team striving to make a positive difference to our participants lives. This role gives you the opportunity to change participants lives through building strong positive relationships and developing participants trust and rapport to guide, motivate, challenge, and encourage participants to securing sustainable employment.

Ideally, you will have previous coaching and/or teaching experience along with,
- Ability influence and support participants by using different techniques.
- Experience of working with neurodiverse and vulnerable adults
- Can demonstrate effective caseload management
- Experience of working to high performance and compliance standards and the ability to work under pressure.
- Performance driven and able to achieve set targets.
