**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**:
At least 2 years experience; of lead sports coaching or PE coaching for Reception, KS1 and KS2; working with children within the age range 4 -12.

Customer service and sports event management desirable but not essential as full training is given.

**Holiday entitlement**: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays per annum

**Working Hours**:

7.20am - 9.00am

The Future Games/Kidz Zone Club have an opportunity for a professional to join our team as a Sports Coach and Setting Manager working in Bicester (Langford Village School, Peregrine Way, Bicester, Oxford OX26 6SX). You will benefit from an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience across a wide range of sport and active childcare events.

As part of the role we will provide training and mentoring to develop you.

This is a demanding but very rewarding role ideally suited to a graduate or experienced coach, which could kick-start a professional career in the sports coaching and sports development sector.

You will benefit from an extremely varied role - undertaking the following roles and responsibilities.

There is also the opportunity to work towards a Level 4 Sports Coaching qualification (fully funded by our company)

**DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Planning and delivering school sports focused before lunchtime clubs and managing midday supervisors
- Planning and delivering primary PE lessons
- Assessing children's progress in PE
- Planning and delivering ‘active’ before and after school clubs
- Co-ordinating club events
- Planning and delivering holiday camp activities
- Assisting in the development of current services
- Delivering project taster sessions at local schools
- Support project staff to prepare for sessions and deliver the programme’s activities
- Support project staff in monitoring and evaluating the success of the projects activities
- Adhere to employers and placement organisations Health and Safety, Child Protection and Equalities policies
- Complete various training courses
- Attend all work based sessions, meetings and training courses on time
- Adhere to their placement organisations policies around presentation, dress code and representing the organisation externally

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Passionate about PE, sport, fitness or physical activity
- Passionate about community sport and development
- An understanding of sport and young people
- Passionate about childcare
- Self-motivated to learn and improve
- Good communication skills and ability to relate to other people
- Ability to engage young people positively
- To be able to adapt to different challenges in a positive way
- Reasonable level of personal fitness
- Level 2 coaching qualification e.g. FA level 2, Multi Skills or NVQ Level 3 in coaching or relevant area (desirable not essential)
- Level 3 or 4 coaching qualification (desirable not essential as training can be provided)
- Degree (desirable not essential)
- Safeguarding (desirable not essential)
- First aid trained (desirable not essential)
- Food Hygiene (desirable not essential)
- UK drivers license and own transport (desirable not essential)

There is also the option to undertake fully funded 'work based' qualifications through our organisation
- Level 4 Sports Coach (18 month course - equivalent to foundation degree)

**GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE**

In carrying out the above the post holder will:

- Keep abreast of developments in services and legislation for young people relevant to the tasks and responsibilities
- Seek to improve his/her own performance, contribution, knowledge, and skills and participate in training and developmental activities as required
- Ensure the implementation the Diversity and Equality policy statement
- Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures
