Accounts Assistant

**The role**
We are seeking a detail oriented, organised, and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a unique organisation and grow in the field of Finance and Accounts. **Your responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Daily payments (including foreign currency)
- Processing and inputting invoices/credits onto Sage - liaising with the wider team to ensure all invoices are accurate and correct.
- Supplier statements and raising invoice queries.
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements
- Reconciling daily website sales & refunds
- Keeping an up to date and balanced ledger - debtor and creditor reports
- Monthly P+L and balance sheet checks
- Compiling weekly payment run for approval.
- Assisting with month end accounts and producing journals.
- Liaising with accountant for month end/year end/quarterly VAT returns.
- Handle routine enquiries and communication related to financial matters.
**Additional duties - as required.**
**Experience**
- AAT (level 2 or above) or recent accounting graduate _**OR**_3 yearsrelevant industry experience
- Knowledge of Sage Cloud Accounting (or equivalent)
- Competent in Microsoft Office, mainly Excel.
- Knowledge of depreciation, accruals & prepayments (desirable)
- High level of accuracy - meticulous attention to detail.
- Eager to learn and progress within the company.
- Have a positive attitude with a thorough approach to problem-solving.
- Awareness of Data Protection and handling confidential information.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
