**THE ROLE**
The Accounts Assistant will manage the administration and support of the Accounts team, ensuring business needs are met and value is provided whilst maintaining and enhancing Disturbia’s reputation and ethics.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Daily payments (including foreign currency)
- Processing and inputting invoices/credits onto Sage - liaising with the wider team to ensure all invoices are accurate and correct
- Supplier statements and raising invoice queries
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers/manufacturers
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements
- Reconciling daily website sales & refunds
- Keeping an up to date and balanced ledger - debtor and creditor reports
- Monthly P+L and balance sheet checks
- Compiling weekly payment run for approval
- Assisting with month end accounts and producing journals
- Liaising with accountant for month end/year end/quarterly VAT returns
- Filing and administrative duties
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy to meet deadlines
**THE PERSON**
They should be a fast learner and be dynamic in their approach as they will need to react quickly to ever changing environments.
Finally, they will be charismatic and confident, happy interacting with different audiences and peers.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- AAT (level 2 or above) or recent accounting graduate (desirable).
- At least 3 years experience in bookkeeping or similar accounts role.
- Knowledge of Sage Cloud Accounting (or equivalent)
- Competent in Microsoft Office, mainly Excel
- Knowledge of depreciation, accruals & prepayments (desirable)
- High level of accuracy - meticulous attention to detail
- Eager to learn and progress within the company
- Have a positive attitude with a thorough approach to problem-solving
- Awareness of Data Protection and handling confidential information
