The purpose of the Education Administrator is to provide project, service and administrative support to the education team in the delivery of operational and education services.

This role provides frontline assistance, support and advice to our educators and students. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for the department and students, they will deal with general queries on our Learning Management System by the educators and students, they will provide a range of general administrative support including, but not limited to:

- Diary management for the Head of Education
- Book all travel arrangement for the team including meeting rooms / teas, coffees / food
- Administration support for meetings including agendas and minutes
- Administer courses on our Learning Management System
- Provide administrative support to educator in uploading files to our Learning Management System and SharePoint
- Process enquiries from Students
- Provide certificates to students
- Generate purchase request form
- Generate reports as required
- Act as first point of contact for Education queries and provide basic general advice staff and external bodies.
- Field telephone calls and take messages, ensuring that messages are relayed accurately and promptly and, if possible, resolve simple queries
- Support education activities such as preparation of documents, correspondence, all course administration
- Work in collaboration with colleagues across the wider team
- Maintain accurate records, data and education related systems whilst supporting the collection of information and analysis
- Effective and confidential diary management for senior team, ensuring that appointments are planned and co-ordinated appropriately and run to schedule, and where necessary using influencing skills to reschedule at short notice
- Provide administrative cover for other areas of the business, co-ordinate team meetings and take minutes as required
- Use influencing skills and empathy to develop relationships across the organisation to facilitate team working and the delivery of team objectives.
- Demonstrate competencies relevant to the role level and be a role model for its values.

The Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB) purpose is to improve safety through effective and independent investigations that do not apportion blame or liability. By offering a new perspective and developing meaningful and influential recommendations we aim to drive positive change at a wider level. HSIB is hosted by NHSI but conducts and reports its investigations completely independently.

Each year HSIB will publish approximately 30 new reports, following investigations into an incident or issue, and issue safety recommendations to a wide range of bodies and organisations. The education department currently have 6 courses which are run on various dates throughout the year. These are run from our Learning Management System, Canvas and we currently have over 3,500 students enrolled.
