Job description
SSNAP is a small charity based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford that supports sick and premature newborn babies and their parents. This includes emotional support and guidance to parents, life saving equipment for babies and practical training and support for NHS staff; amongst a long list of other charitable services for families experiencing very difficult times.
We are seeking a Community Fundraising Executive with a very competitive salary; reflective of their individual skills and experience in the fundraising arena. This position will work very closely with the Charity Director who has, in the past, managed the entire fundraising portfolio whilst running the charity. There is ample opportunity for flexible working hours and a hybrid practice, with over half the time spent working from home if preferred.
**You will**:
- Have an established and proven track record of fundraising
- Be comfortable leading with projects and events
- Be an excellent communicator, comfortable presenting to all audiences
- Be proactive and energetic in your approach to your work
- Thrive on being an important part of a small team
- Be as comfortable making up 200 Fundraising packs to send out (with the Charity Director), as conducting analysis and foresight to our fundraising developing strategy.
- Be empathetic towards the families of babies who are sick and/or premature
**Role Specific Duties**:
- Develop and maintain already very strong community relationships
- Create a new and exciting Schools Fundraising Portfolio, specific to Oxfordshire
- Lead charity marketing and communications, including active involvement in busy social media outlets
- Manage our involvement in challenge events and deliver whole journey support
- Oversee the administration of fundraising and supply timely and accurate reports
- Manage our JustGiving and Facebook donors

- Manage JustGiving and Facebook donors
- Manage a new donor database
**Experience and Knowledge**:
- Experience of professional fundraising
- Working independently
- An understanding of how to raise £300k a year in a county environment (with Charity Director Support)
- Managing external events; race days, garden parties and/or dinners
- Good working knowledge of social media and digital fundraising
- A proven track record of delivering results as part of a small team and/or alone
- Previous experience with a donor management system (database)
Please send your CV along with a covering letter, outlining how your experience and knowledge chimes with the 7 bullets above - and why you are the best person for the job. More information is available under 'Jobs' on the SSNAP website.
