**Title**:Events and Campaigns Manager**

**Location**: Based at the Charity office in Hatfield Peverel

**Salary: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 depending on experience.**

**Responsible to**: Head of Fundraising & Marketing
- To support the Head of Fundraising & Marketing with maintaining and developing the current Helen Rollason Cancer Charity headline events calendar. In turn, growing this income stream to reflect the charity’s fundraising targets.
- To succeed, you will have a strong track record in events management with demonstrable experience in high-value events. You will thrive in the hustle and bustle of the busy events season and will use the quieter times to reflect, scope the sector, learn and innovate.
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- To be responsible for and take the lead on Helen Rollason Cancer Charity headline events including Ride for Helen Essex, A Vintage Weekend, Pumpkin Bottomless Brunch, Christmas Gift Fair and Market and Christmas Tree Recycling. Implementing and supporting an exciting events programme.
- Lead in the design and delivery of new innovative events which will help deliver the ambitions income growth we are targeting in our strategy.
- Be responsible for operational planning, budgeting, management and reporting activities.
- Develop strong relationships with external suppliers to ensure excellent delivery and the best possible return on investment.
- Evaluating income and expenditure, ensuring the events programme is delivered to time within budget.
- To ensure the reputation of the charity is a key consideration in all fundraising activities. To ensure the identification of risk, both physical and financial, relating to fundraising activities.
- Ensure we have adequate numbers or registrations, participants or tickets sold for each event.
- To update the CRM accordingly and within a timely manner.
- Support other members and income streams within the Fundraising and Marketing team as and when required.
- Regularly scan for both national and international trends within the events industry and report any recommendations to the HOF.
- To work within the legal framework and good practice guidelines for fundraising activity.
- To comply with requirements of the Data Protection Act.
- Work towards ensuring that all fundraising events targets are hit.
- **Managing Relationships**_
- Manage relationships with suppliers (such as venue hosts), stall holders and any third-party agencies.
- To be familiar with the Fundraising Volunteers, the roles they fulfil and the roles
- available for potential new volunteers.
- Work closely with the volunteers in ensuring we have enough in position to support event days.
- Working closely with the Fundraising Support Administrator to ensure timely recordings on the database of all event correspondence.
- Work closely with the Community Fundraising team to promote and recruit participants for events.
- **Marketing/PR**_
- To work closely with the Marketing Team, establishing a rigorous marketing plan for each event in a timely fashion.
- Working on a marketing budget for each event and allowing the Marketing Team to take the lead with this.
- Working with our Graphic Designer to ensure all artwork is completed within a timely fashion.
- To use the database to actively promote and market to individuals who may wish to take part in our events.
- To liaise with marketing an PR department to produce all posters, flyers and tickets for any event and coverage via press, radio or TV.
- **Data and information Compliance**_
- To maintain high quality data on the Charity’s database, ThankQ, through timely data input, ensuring information is gathered and recorded in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
- To maintain donor trust and confidentiality at all times.
- **Compliance and Best Practice**_
- To ensure all fundraising practice is in line with the current organisational guidelines and policies.
- To ensure own compliance with fundraising standards and requirements working collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising and Marketing to keep abreast of key policies and regulations, affecting fundraising support including the Fundraising Regulator, Institute of Fundraising, Charity Commission and HMRC.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proven experience of working with a CRM system or similar for a minimum of 2 years.
