**Job Description**:
Aroy D Thai, a thriving Thai food takeaway business located on the American Air Force Base, is seeking a skilled and passionate Thai Food Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Thai Food Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking our authentic Thai dishes to ensure a consistently delicious dining experience for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of Thai dishes following our recipes and guidelines.
- Handle food ingredients safely and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Assist in food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
- Monitor food supplies and ensure timely reordering to avoid any shortages.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Follow food safety regulations and maintain proper storage and labeling of food items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station throughout the shift.
- Adhere to portion control and presentation standards to ensure consistency in taste and appearance.
- Learn and adapt to our cooking techniques and specific menu items.
- Have a full driving license and provide your own form of transportation.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably with knowledge of Thai cuisine.
- Ability to handle various kitchen equipment and tools.
- Passion for cooking and a strong interest in Thai cuisine.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- UK citizenship and willingness to undergo an extensive background check due to the location on the American Air Force Base.
- Full driving license and own form of transportation.

**Salary**:

- The starting wage for this position is £10.50 per hour.
- After a successful probationary period of 6 months, the wage will increase to £11 per hour.
