Organisations from across Wokingham Borough are working together to agree a long-term community vision for the area. This vision sets out what sort of place we all want the borough to be; what are the most important things we need to do to ensure a great quality of life for everybody in the borough.

Once agreed, the community vision will guide how partners work together for a better Wokingham Borough. And we are looking for someone to join our Communications, Engagement and Marketing Team (CEM) to lead the communications and engagement work with our partners, including input on design.

As a CEM Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering tactical communications to build trust and confidence in developing the Community Vision by using a range of channels to keep stakeholders informed, engaged and motivated, as well as keeping the public aware and involved too.

**Communications, Engagement and Marketing Team**

The CEM team is responsible for planning and delivering the Council’s CEM strategy to ensure we reach everybody in the borough with our messages, that we have genuine two-way dialogue with residents, and that we present ourselves in the most open, honest and positive way possible.

We are looking for someone with new, innovative ideas on how to communicate the great things we do and how to engage beyond the ‘usual suspects’ in order to get to the harder to reach groups.

You will work across the organisation with senior officers and members, as well as all the partners involved in developing the vision.

**You will have the ability to**:

- deliver cohesive CEM plans in collaboration with colleagues and help create two-way dialogue with residents and stakeholders
- work to tight deadlines and to communicate difficult and complex messages in clear and concise ways
