Learn 4 Life School are currently looking for a Behaviour Mentor with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) experience to work in a SEMH School in Ashton in Makerfield, Wigan.

The school caters for students aged between 11-16 (KS3 and KS4) and provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students with SEMH needs.

**Job Purpose**: As a Behaviour Mentor in our SEMH school, you will play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioural development of Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 4 (KS4) pupils aged 11-16. Your primary focus will be to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Behavioural Support**:

- Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups to address behavioural challenges.
- Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies and interventions.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils to encourage emotional well-being and resilience.

2. **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to implement individual behaviour plans.
- Attend and actively contribute to team meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to share progress and strategies for continued support.

3. **Mentoring and Guidance**:

- Offer one-on-one mentoring sessions to students to address personal and social development needs.
- Provide guidance on coping strategies, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation.
- Support students in setting and achieving personal and academic goals.

4. **Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, interventions, and outcomes.
- Prepare reports for school leadership and other stakeholders as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Understanding of behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
