Work Wales are currently working with an established local medical centre to recruit a Medical Administrator to join their team.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide good organisational skills, managing incoming requests for information from Solicitors, Insurance Companies and Hospitals
- Organise and co-ordinate all incoming, outgoing mail
- Review all online requests from patients via the practice online software and assign requests to appropriate individuals/departments for review
- Process new registrations within agreed timeframes and adding appropriate codes to computer records to ease searching for Enhanced Service Administration
- Preparation of documents for insurance claims, external bodies, patient requests and private work
- Management of invoicing relating to insurance claims, medical reports and any private work undertaken by practice staff
- To process and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing internal and external mail
- Identifying and allocating correct codes to patient records, including summarising patient history, and ensuring significant problems are detailed correctly as past or present problems
- To be fully aware of confidentiality guidelines and exercise judgment and care when exchanging confidential patient information
- Responsible for covering reception duties, where applicable, as and when required
**Pay Rate**:£10.45 - £11.00 per hour
**Hours of Work**:Monday - Friday
8am - 4pm - 3 days
9am - 5pm - 2 days
- Have experience working within strict company policies including data protection and health and safety
- Be experienced in administrative roles
- Have excellent customer service and organisational skills
- Be competent with Microsoft Office
