**SEN Teaching Assistants **to start ASAP
**SEN Teaching Assistants **in the Wimbledon area
**Working Hours**:8:30am - 4:00pm
**Pay Rate**:£80 - £100/day
**Position Overview**:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in the Wimbledon area. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students with either Severe Learning Difficulties, Specific Learning Difficulties, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties in a supportive and dynamic educational setting.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, including those with SLD, SpLD, and PMLD, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and personalised learning strategies to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Support students with personal care and physical needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance, as required.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create and adapt resources and materials to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
- Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and achievements, providing feedback to the teacher and SENCO as necessary.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with SLD, SpLD, and PMLD, is highly desirable but not essential.
- A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine interest in supporting the learning and well-being of students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and take direction from the class teacher and SENCO.
- Basic knowledge of relevant health and safety procedures and protocols when working with students with complex needs.
