**Basic function**

To provide effective leadership and line management to a team of c20 operatives to ensure safe working practice in the execution of brilliant client service levels at a competitive commercial rate by continuously achieving against Service Level Agreementsfor quality and quantity in service delivery.

**Scope of work**

Working with laser printers, enclosing lines and finishing equipment to ensure timely and accurate production of all personalisation output.

Leading a team of c20 operatives, ensuring that they work in a safe environment and behave safely both for themselves and colleagues. They will support their team to deliver great customer service across all the different processes within their client’sportfolio and do it at agreed efficiency levels

**Principals accountabilities**
- Work in accordance with defined Company Policies & Procedures and be aware of H&S responsibilities to themselves and to others.
- Manage, lead and engage with the team that supports their achievement of individual and their team key performance indicators
- Achieve this with brilliant engagement of their team so that they know what their individual contribution needs to be to make the site brilliant.
- Any engagement session they hold is seen as an opportunity to gain buy in to the site daily, weekly and longer-term operational plan.
- Motivate, guide, and recognise their team to exceed KPIs and create a positive culture where their team feel supported, coached and when needed appropriately performance managed
- Hold constructive One-to-Ones and appraisals with agreed activity that optimises both individual and team performance. Within this they structure and execute development plans that supports personal growth and feeds into the site succession plan.
- Professionally executes HR processes when needed, in line with Company Policy
- Adheres to operational deadlines by engaging their team in business expectations to team, exceptionally where this cannot be achieved highlighting any risk and mitigation plans accordingly
- Ensures all MI data is recorded accurately in line with required timescales. Interpreting available MI, including forecasting and trends to resource effectively.
- Maintains a strong knowledge of the operational processes amongst team members and that as such processes are conducted to a high standard.
- Support continuous improvement by encouraging, generating and then implementing ideas that improve performance, including participation in and the championing of 5S best practice.
- Ensures all mandatory training and compliance is completed.

**Leadership skills**

Excellent people management skills including the ability to engage large teams to perform to their best. They are ideal team players that show high levels of people smart acumen, humility and a large appetite to attack opportunities to continuously improvetheir area and themselves

**Knowledge requirements**
- Experience of working in a dynamic, fast paced production environment essential
- Experience of compliance with Data Protection and GDPR.
- Experience of managing and motivating a team to achieve required targets.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Experience of people management and development.
- Able to analyse information and report upon its content.
- Demonstrates previous levels of accountability and reliability.
- Promotes a positive working environment and able to resolve conflict.
- Strong demonstrable leadership skills
- Excellent communication, written skills, and attention to detail

**Specific Information**

Flexibility is essential for this role - working 40 hours per week covering teams working 3 shift patterns, days, lates and nights. Banked hours are in operation for this role.
