In this role you will:

- Take the lead in positioning Fujitsu as the:

- Partner of choice for a full range of organisations from fast growth MSMEs to corporate alliance partners engaging in the delivery and leverage of cognitive and advanced technology enabled solutions.
- Activator of innovation through a combination of partner collaboration, proof of concept facilitation, incubation, acceleration and Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) enabled growth.
- Engage, build and nurture an ecosystem of mutually-supportive partner relationships; identifying opportunities for collaboration, innovation and revenue generation.
- Design, build, activate, manage and mature Fujitsu’s capabilities in the management of proof of concept funds, incubation and acceleration leveraging relationships with key academic partners.
- Lead the identification of CVC targets relevant to the Centre for Cognitive and Advanced Technologies’ vision. Engage with Fujitsu’s corporate CVC/M&A management capabilities both in the UK and Globally to support the review, assessment, due diligence and contracting of CVC targets.
- Lead the identification, bidding and securing of funds, secured from a combination of:

- Governmental funds: Both regional and thematic.
- University research, innovation and proof of concept funds.
- Other 3rd party venture funds: Including arms length bodies and agencies, commercial organisations and partners.
- Engage with wider Fujitsu capabilities in the areas of partner management, research and other Centres of Excellence to share best practices and enable capability growth.
- Develop structured engagement plans that prioritise the efforts of both the Funding and Ecosystem Lead and other Centre for Cognitive and Advanced Technology Senior Leadership Team members to maximise return on effort expended.
- Establish yourself as a recognised, trusted and credible leader in the field of funding and ecosystem management; maintaining an expert understanding and strategic view of the evolving marketplace and associated opportunities to maximise opportunity. Sharing perspectives both internally and externally to enhance the credibility and relevance of the Centre for Cognitive and Advanced Technology.
- Professionally engages senior leaders throughout the Fujitsu organisation to ensure the available opportunity is realised in full; enabled by all customer and stakeholder expectations being exceeded with deliverables achieved on time, within budget and to exacting levels of quality.
- Lead and direct the development of proposals to secure both internal support and external investment; enabling the delivery of revenue streams that meet or exceed our commitments to the business.
- Lead by example and instill a culture of continuous professional development, upskilling and learning throughout the Centre for Cognitive and Advanced Technology; ensuring that Fujitsu remains at the forefront of advancements in this and supporting areas.
