**Purpose of the role**

Support the public and practitioners as expert partners in the development and co-design of digital health and care services in Sussex.

**Job Description**:
The Sussex Our Connected Programme, is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to support Sussex ICS establish and deliver the underpinning infrastructure for clinically led Virtual Wards. Virtual wards are a national policy directive which seeks to provide a safe and efficient alternative to NHS bedded care that is enabled by technology. As one of the key priorities for Sussex ICS, the Virtual Ward is a critical piece of whole system change which will enable and support the shift of activity from acute settings into the community and is a tangible example of bringing better organised care and services as close as possible to people's homes.

This role will support the Virtual Wards Programme Digital Delivery Lead in delivering and establishing a sustainable system wide Virtual Ward across the Sussex footprint. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that delivery is underpinned by a robust and efficient approach to project management, ensuring that activity and process are delivered with accuracy and expertise across the whole breadth of projects meeting project management deliverables, milestones, quality standards and timelines. This role requires collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders and will require working at pace with the OCC delivery teams, wider ICB members and individual Trust stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and manage a detailed project plan and dashboards, aligning to milestones and project outcomes, risks and issues
- Demonstrate the ability to proactively monitor progress, issues and risks for projects, escalating to the Virtual Wards digital lead as necessary
- Ability to build credibility and good relationships with a matrix of stakeholders to support system wide change
- Able to act as a conduit between technical, operational and clinical teams using strong communication skills to deliver complex information in clear and appropriate language to suit the stakeholder group
- Able to work in a fast pace and innovative environment that can be ambiguous, able to adapt and identify solutions and stakeholder consensus to resolve complex challenges
- Overseeing the upload and reporting into the DevOps platform to ensure all actions, activities and information owned by the team are on track and actioned.
- Supporting the delivery of assigned projects with other teams and colleagues to secure successful outcomes
- Ensuring project outputs are of a high quality and produced on time and within budget where applicable, in line with the requirements outlined in the project plan
- Raising risks and issues as they arise, working with the team to develop contingency plans to manage conflicting priorities between stakeholders with different expectations
- Manage the co-ordination of the governance process to ensure the board and sub
- groups are held to schedule and supported as required
- Providing regular updates to providers on the progress of the digital workstream, managing and supporting any amendments, requests and issues as necessary
- Creating and develop methods to capture and evaluate partner feedback to identify gaps, barriers and challenges to the workstream; identifying potential solutions.
- Supporting the development of new pathways, processes and policies for the delivery of the project.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various internal and external stakeholders demonstrating effective teamwork and leadership to identify opportunities and nurture a result's driven joined up approach
- Support the development of Agile working practices across the programme
- Creating regular project reports for the programme board/sub-groups showing progress against milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies, making recommendations where a range of options may exist
- Ensuring compliance with all confidentiality and governance requirements
