**Role Summary**:
The People Operations Coordinator will be responsible for delivering efficient support to facilitate the smooth running of the People & OD function and its core processes. You must ensure compliance to procedures, processes and contribute ideas for continuously improving ways of working within the team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**People Operations and Service Excellence**
- First line support dealing with day-to-day HR queries and advising in line with the current policies and procedures.
- Using ServiceNow tool to monitor and answer frequently asked questions in our case management system. Research and provide timely follow up and engagement when the answer is delayed, not obvious or routine.
- Ensure an adequate, effective, and efficient electronic employee record system is in place for annual internal audit.

**Employee Experience**
- Own the new starter and onboarding process. This includes coordinating the onboarding process for all new joiners. Responsibilities will include booking new starter inductions and collating all documentation in respect of new joiners to BPSS standard (proof of entitlement to work in UK, the completion of the mandatory pre-placement screening etc) and advising the appropriate person of any potential problems. Escalating any issues to Line Manager.
- Ensure continued compliance with right to work screening updating processes in line with Home Office guidance
- Conduct orientation programmes for new employees, organising new joiner welcome meetings and coffee morning sessions with the CEO and Director of People & Organisation Development
- Complete the Pension Auto enrolment letters for new joiners, coordinating any opt out elections with the payroll process. Schedule quarterly pension advisory meetings for new joiners
- Own the leaver process including drafting leaver letters and calculating outstanding annual leave

**People Services Data Champion and Compliance**
- Ensuring GDPR compliance throughout HR processes including the management of leaver information in line with data retention practises and guidelines.
- Team lead as data protection and governance for People and Organisation Development Team, attending as representative at Data Champion working group

**Policies and Process Improvements**
- Lead on/support ad hoc People & OD projects as required, including supporting with the development of team objectives and KPI’s
- Make suggestions for improvements and best practice across HR processes
- Ensure the tracking of all LCCC Policies and that required updates are maintained in a timely fashion
- Keep abreast of policy and professional development within area of professional expertise

**Skills Knowledge and Expertise**:

- CIPD Level 3 (essential)/ CIPD Level 5 (desirable)
- At least 2 years’ experience working within an HR function
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft SharePoint
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as electronic record keeping
- Demonstrate knowledge of GDPR and best practise
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders
- Experience gained within an HR environment working on onboarding processes and right to work compliance
- Experience of utilising a customer service tool such as ServiceNow/ Jira/ HR portal would be advantageous
- A proactive approach to work and problem solving, with an experienced skillset of resolving customer issues
