An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Quality Improvement team for a Programme officer. This role will be supporting the project and programme managers with all aspects of project administration and quality improvement.

This is a varied role working with a team that supports operational services embed QI across the Trust and would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced administrator to join the Integrated Quality Improvement team and support the embedding of a QI culture within the Trust.

This role will support the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme in the implementation and on-going oversight of business plans. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring the delivery of key project milestones, outcome measures, service performance improvements and financial plans; and the development and introduction of standardised reporting mechanisms, underpinned by robust data. The post holder will be expected to support the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme team to work closely with the dedicated Information Analysts to generate the reporting requirements.

**Key tasks include**:

- Work with Project Facilitators across the organisation to support the development of detailed project documentation. Provide guidance, support and coaching on the completion of standardised documentation including Improvement Plans, Project Initiation Documents and Risk logs.
- Collate, review and support the Quality Improvement Programme Managers and Quality Improvement Project Managers to produce regular management information on delivery and overall progress against the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme for a variety of audiences. This will include supporting the production of reports on organisational progress
- Support colleagues on the delivery of ad hoc projects required to mitigate any key risks to delivery. The post holder may also take on responsibility for a programme of central initiatives, which would be supported by colleagues in support services.
- Support for the development of a standardised process for the development, assessment and implementation of Business Cases/Service developments in-year, outside of the annual planning process.
- Support the Integrated Quality Improvement team to lead on and support benchmarking of projects wherever possible

**Responsibilities**:
1. Professional and organisational
- Work within the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme principles, as determined by the Head of Integrated Quality Improvement, to assist in the delivery of projects, ensuring that all expected standards are met.
- Provide a high quality administrative service including maintaining electronic diaries, organising meetings as required and maintaining efficient and effective administrative systems including bring forward, filing and message taking, using a variety of computer software.
- Support the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme Team in the development and implementation of the Trust’s improvement priorities.
- Ensure that appropriate and effective project management discipline is applied to all projects within the Programme, supporting the team to ensure timely, accurate monitoring and reporting on project progress, risks and issues, in line with Programme timescales.
- Provide support to work aiming to identify and develop new models and approaches, which will improve the operational efficiency of the Trust.
- Ensure all projects have specific and relevant measures for baseline, interim and outcome stages along with a mechanism for reporting against performance of measures on a monthly basis.
- Work with the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme Team to facilitate collaboration with managers, clinicians, nursing staff, patients and other stakeholders on specific projects enabling a cross-divisional approach to sharing, influencing and implementing new processes resulting in whole system change and improvement
- Assist the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme Team with ensuring that new systems of care are properly evaluated, using appropriate measures, and that the views of patients are clearly represented in the evaluation process.
- Support the Team to ensure a consistent and joined up approach to re-design in the organisation, ensuring clear benefits realisation for patients, staff and the Trust are demonstrable within the project and programme plans.
- Support programme planning via planning workshops and the drafting and on-going maintenance/update of programme plans, ensuring compliance with planning standards
