**About the role**

We’re excited to be looking for a **Regulatory Business Partner** to join our **Audit, Risk and Assurance team**.

The ARA team is responsible for working directly with our regulators, key stakeholders by delivering technical expertise, industry knowledge and representing NCFE in relevant forums and committees and develop opportunities for communities of practice.

The Regulatory Business Partner supports to ensure that all regulatory frameworks are strictly implemented throughout the business, while also identifying possible risks and offering suitable solutions. They demonstrate collaboration, responsibility, foresight and purposeful behaviour to be able to efficiently carry out the role, which establishing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, including maintaining and supporting relationships with our regulators. Offering clear guidance, support, proactive engagement, and support to colleagues and the team helps to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and the internal risk and assurance frameworks.

**In this role you'll be responsible for**:

- Providing guidance, support and pro-active regulatory, risk and compliance advice to the business, particularly to assigned Business Partner area(s) in support of delivering regulatory compliant business objectives.
- Working with stakeholders to support the finding of pragmatic compliance solutions to meet stakeholder and business needs.
- Working with stakeholders in the first line of control (internal departments to identify and manage regulatory risk, aligning to the organisations risk tolerance) to ensure the remediation of regulatory breaches,
- Providing expert advice and guidance to assist First Line teams with the development of regulatory controls and assist in enhancing the maturity of the control environment.
- Providing oversight of and effective challenge to regulatory risks raised by the First Line teams, to help ensure senior management have an accurate view on the level of regulatory risks in their areas.
- Using internal regulation, risk and compliance data to identify trends and systemic exposures and to develop monthly and quarterly management information on all compliance activities, risks and issues, which contribute to the Assurance reports for the Board and Executive

**We'd love to hear from you if you hold the following key skills and experience**:

- Education to degree level or equivalent
- Previous experience of working in a compliance / audit / risk / ‘solution-focussed’ role
- Experience of developing / evaluating compliance and risk procedures
- Excellent, effective communication skills, both in written and verbal communications
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Negotiation and influencing skills
