**About the role**

This is an exciting time to join CPRE Gloucestershire as we look to grow our membership and profile in the future. This is a new post where you will provide support to our full-time Director across a broad range of activities. The role is likely to appeal to a recent graduate or someone looking to change career as it will provide a broad base of understanding as to how a charity works allowing for further development within the charity and environment sector.

As we are a membership and campaigning organisation the emphasis will be on assisting raising the profile of the charity, helping to attract new members, communicating with existing members and supporters, and managing volunteers involved in various projects.

**Responsibilities**

The tasks involved are likely to include:
**Communications**
- Reaching out to volunteers and keeping communication alive with them
- Preparing regular online newsletters
- Preparing occasional printed publications
- Making regular posts on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media sites
- Maintaining the CPREG website

**Campaigns**
- Helping to project manage ongoing campaigns
- Suggesting new campaign ideas

**Administration**
- Managing routine office tasks as required
- Maintaining contact databases
- Organising meetings

**Events**
- Help to prepare and run a range of events to help fundraise and engage with members
- Act as an ambassador and talk to individuals about what we do

**Personal profile**
- You must share our mission to promote, enhance and protect Gloucestershire countryside
- You will be an enthusiastic self-starter, keen to work in a small team in a flexible and adaptable way
- You will need to have good IT skills and some office experience will be an advantage
- You must be able to self-start tasks and work independently with occasional out of hours working
- You will have good working knowledge of social media
- You must have good oral and written communication skills
- Ideally you will have a full driving licence

**The post**

The post is offered on the basis of a full-time appointment for a 35 hour week, but with the possibility of working 4 days per week. Your salary would be £24,000 to £26,000 depending on experience.

You would be based at Community House next to Gloucester Cathedral, with the option to work partially from home on a mutually agreed basis.

You will receive a range of training opportunities and induction through the National CPRE charity.
