Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm

Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

£22,000 per annum

Our client - a family-run business just outside St. Ives in Cambridgeshire are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join their friendly team on a full time permanent basis.

The main purpose of the role will include supporting the accounts team with sales and purchase ledgers; ad-hoc admin duties which include processing supplier invoices, dealing with supplier and customer queries, chasing courier claims, and keeping spreadsheets up to date. Supporting with month-ends and years-ends.
- Monthly - Send out statements to customers
- Initial credit checks admin for new customers and increase limits for existing customers for Accounts Office Manager sign off
- Check and post all non Purchase Orders invoices (PO) and PO invoices to relevant suppliers accounts
- Update freight costing sheet
- Assist with staff expenses and company credit cards
- Assist with month-end processes
- Samples and free-of-charge charges
- Freight claims
- Create, record and post payment links and support with chasing with credit control
- Support Manager to ensure the accountants are provided with all year-end information
- Adhoc admin duties

You will need;
- Strong attention to detail
- High accuracy
- Good communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Intermediate excel skills
- Previous experience in an accounts role as part of a team
- Level 2 Accountancy qualification is desirable

Due to the location of the office a full clean driving licence and own transport is essential.
