With millions of readers across print, digital, and social media platforms, The Times is a multimedia brand that offers comprehensive coverage of national and international news, politics, business, culture, sports, and more. Its award-winning journalists are at the forefront of the industry, providing readers with the insight, analysis, and commentary they need to navigate today's complex world.

**Being an intern at The Times** is a gateway to a great career in editorial design. During this paid internship you will be trained to work across print and digital platforms, developing skills in layout and graphics. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn in a fast-paced creative environment.During this paid internship you will get full training, 4 days a week with The Times while also studying towards a fully-funded NCTJ qualification.

**The Role**: You will spend time with our creative and dynamic design team; You will learn how to translate and execute a design brief, lay out pages and artwork to tight deadlines and how to pitch creative ideas that provide inspiration to editors and journalists. You will collaborate closely with experienced designers to create outstanding packages that are visually distinctive.

You will receive mentoring and coaching bespoke to you and delivered by some of the most experienced designers in the industry.

At the end of the 6 month programme you’ll complete your internship with great experiences, knowledge and will have built your network in editorial design. There is no better way to start your design career than an internship with us.

**What we are looking for from you**:

- Demonstrable knowledge and interest in editorial design and graphics
- Ability to articulate the importance of design and graphics in journalism
- An understanding of The Times brand in both print and digital
- Demonstrable interest in current affairs and culture
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate succinctly and effectively
- Positive can-do attitude and good team player.
- Unflappable and reliable under pressure
