The Asset Systems Lead plays a vital role in managing and improving SSEN's asset management systems, data, and associated processes. This senior position is responsible for leading asset system/data strategy, crafting business cases, and delivery of system improvements and day-to-day performance management of our systems, whilst aligning with and helping to shape our wider transformation programme. The job requires expertise in systems and asset management, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with and translate requirements between IT and business teams.

Flexible working locations are offered, with a requirement to spend 2-3 days per week in the Perth or Reading offices. Travel will be required between Scotland and England.

Main responsibilities include:

- Upholding a robust safety culture, adhering to health and safety regulations, and promoting integrity.
- Crafting a long-term strategy for asset management systems and data, and working with the business to identify, prioritise and plan improvements and prepare business cases to secure budget.
- Determining scope for system improvement projects and driving delivery, translating requirements between business and IT teams.
- Managing asset data and systems, setting performance metrics, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with system governance and policy updates.
- Leading initiatives for asset data structure and quality, supervising data uploads, and actioning enhancements from the Information Gathering Plan.

**What do I need?**:
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A sound understanding of data collections related to assets in regulated industries and be skilled in data tools such as Power BI and Python.
- The ability to simplify complex data into actionable business strategies.
- A strong intellectual curiosity with outstanding problem-solving skills, and quantitative expertise. You'll have a firm commitment to improving your technical abilities.

Familiarity with the UK electricity market is an advantage.
