**The Neighbourhood Team Leader role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Neighbourhood service as a Neighbourhood Team leader
As part of this role, you’ll lead a Neighbourhood team to support the delivery of a highly visible, proactive estate and tenancy management service to ensure our communities and neighbourhoods are desirable, attractive, safe, and sustainable places which they are proud to be part of.
- We believe working on an agile basis enables us to adapt to our customers’ needs. As this is a front-line customer facing role there is an expectation for your working hours to be within our key business hours, however we’re more than happy to discuss our agile working packages_
**Key duties and responsibilities of our Neighbourhood Team Leader**:
- Ensure the delivery of a highly visible and proactive tenancy and neighbourhood management service, dealing with tenancy conduct and ensuring the provision of assistance and advice with basic repairs and issues of concern to tenants.
- Contribute to service improvements and standardised procedures for tenancy and neighbourhood management activities in order to maximise service efficiency.
- Operational responsibility for managing the team’s performance, producing reports, ensuring key performance targets are achieved and practice complies with legislation, policies and procedures.
- Promote a customer culture within the team, ensuring officers proactively engage with tenants, initiating early intervention and identifying support needs in compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures for safeguarding and antisocial behaviour.
- Ensure the upkeep of neighbourhoods is satisfactory and develop initiatives and strategies to deal with issues of vandalism, graffiti, and fly-tipping. Ensure that breaches of tenancy are actioned and appropriately followed up, in line with thresholds, policies and procedures.
- Responsibility for meeting upper quartile performance on void management, by working effectively with other officers/services and by identifying any actions required.
- As required, provide evidence and statements to give in court.
- Development and maintenance of formal communication channels between officers and community groups, meeting at agreed regular intervals with all identified local representatives including Elected Members Attend community meetings when required and to proactively seek inclusion into active community groups.
**What we’re looking for in our Neighbourhood Team Leader**:
- Level 5 Chartered Institute of Housing **_or _**equivalent level qualification
- The ability to provide strong leadership and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Relevant experience working in Social Housing, including tenancy and estate management or community safety.
- The ability to develop performance management systems.
- The ability to innovate and manage change.
- Evidence of promoting a continuous learning culture including mentoring and coaching individuals to help them develop their skills and achieve their full potential.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards your own and teams development including embracing the PDR process and core competencies.
- Strong operational skills in managing resources, prioritising tasks to meet strict deadlines and delegating appropriately in order to meet key performance targets.
