Learner Safety Officer

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 per week

Location: Crewe Campus

We are seeking an excellent communicator with experience of safeguarding and first aid to join our team at our Crewe Campus as Learner Safety Officer.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain high visibility across the campus, communicating effectively with learners and promoting positive behaviours;
- Be present at the campus barriers in the morning to support learner arrival;
- Be an active member of the Be-Safe team supporting and advising on safeguarding concerns, referrals & learner welfare;
- Act as first aider as required;
- Organise and support student participation activities including fundraising and other enrichment opportunities;_ and_
- Develop and facilitate the Student Senate alongside the learners and support the learners to participate in learner voice activities.

**Key Person Specification Requirements**:

- Level 3 qualification or above, in a relevant discipline;
- First Aid at Work certificate (_current_) with commitment to remain valid;
- GCSE Grade C _(4/5)_ in Maths and English _(or equivalent)_;
- Experience of handling safeguarding issues and following safeguarding procedures_;_
- Proven experience of providing advice and guidance to learners;
- Proven track record of co-ordinating learner activities;
- Experience of first aid provision;
- Current, valid driving licence; _and_
- Enhanced DBS check
