**ASC School Support Assistants Wanted - Bolton Special Schools**

**Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester**

**Salary: From £96 per day DOE**

**Contract: Full-time, Temporary Contract**

A special needs school based in the Bolton area are seeking a passionate and dedicated ASC Support Assistant to join their school. You will be working with KS1 and KS2 level pupils with a range of Autism Spectrum disorders at varying levels in their education.

The school is committed to providing an enriched curriculum that caters for pupils with a range of needs, setting them up for independent life. You will be working with our team of experienced teachers and support staff, contributing to the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning experiences. The school has excellent transport links and offers a fun environment that has been rated 'outstanding' by OFSTED.

**Responsibilities**:
Provide tailored materials and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students with special educational needs (SEN). This might involve adapting materials for different learning styles, abilities, or sensory preferences.

Assist in the creation of differentiated materials that scaffold learning and provide additional support or challenge based on individual needs. This could involve sending supplementary materials, simplified versions of content, or extension activities.

Be mindful of sensory sensitivities or sensory processing differences when sending materials. Avoid overwhelming students with stimuli and provide options for students to control their sensory environment when engaging with the materials.

Work closely with classroom teachers and parents/guardians of students with SEN to ensure alignment between classroom instruction and the materials sent. Communicate regularly to gather feedback, share insights, and adjust strategies as needed to support student success.
