Job Title: Housing Officer

Pay Rate: £23.93 UMB p/h

Duration: 3 months

Location: Brent, London

Job Purpose:
To serve as the face of Brent Housing, providing visible and accessible housing management services to residents, renters, and owners in the borough. Responsibilities include managing the pre-void process, addressing tenancy breaches, and ensuring quality estate management inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level customer service, emphasizing efficiency and ownership.
Coordinate with partners to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Act as primary contact for local stakeholders and manage individual casework.
Deliver comprehensive lettings services to ensure customer satisfaction.
Conduct estate and health and safety inspections for compliance.
Address issues such as anti-social behavior and abandoned vehicles.
Monitor and report on property-related matters during site visits.
Conduct tenancy audits and support vulnerable customers.
Attend court cases and eviction proceedings as necessary.
Coordinate customer engagement activities and support community needs.
Promote online transactions to support the councils channel shift ambition.
Resolve customer complaints and inquiries within legislative framework.
Participate in organizational change activities and seek service improvements.
Maintain accurate customer records and adhere to policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and environmental sustainability initiatives.

Generic Responsibilities:
Follow council policies on Customer Care, Equal Opportunities, Information Governance, Data Protection, Health and Safety, and Emergency Planning & Awareness.
Contribute to Brents goal of becoming a carbon-neutral borough by 2030.
Undertake any other duties as required.
