Overview:
Walwick Hall is a privately owned boutique country house 10-bedroom hotel with spa. Chesters Stables is a collection of family suites house in the original stables of the estate. Together these two businesses form the hospitality offering at Walwick Estate.

Opening in 2015, Walwick Hall has received high level praise form international travellers, UK based holiday makers and the local community around Northumberland ever since.

The business is now in need of a Restaurant Supervisor to work with our Resident Manager to ensure the guest experience is seamless and luxurious.

The Reception Supervisor will be responsible for all elements of training in our restaurant, lounge and bar operations. Along with deputising for the Resident Manager, the Restaurant Supervisor will form part of the Duty Management cover of Walwick Hall Hotel and Spa operations. As main point of contact for all things food and beverage, the Restaurant Supervisor role creates a link between the guest dining experience and the passion and skill of our Kitchen Team. An excellent working relationship with the Head Chef and Kitchen brigade is vital to showcase everything that our kitchen garden and local suppliers have to offer.

Working with the Resident Manager to plan rotas, being mindful of the potential for changes in business levels last minute, our beautiful terrace can be a sun trap on nicer days, so rota planning goes hand in hand with checking the weather forecast. Working with suppliers to arrange training or education sessions on the products we stock in our bar and wine cellar.

Walwick Hall is all about decadence, our service should reflect this and our desire to make our guests feel special should be at the forefront of every day.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To operate the delivery of a warm and engaging brand of hospitality, reading our guests needs, anticipating them before they need to ask.
- The ensure all guests receive a high level of service at all service times.
- To ensure any feedback is communicated to the Resident Manager.
- To ensure all FOH team members are fully trained on the use of the EPOS till, including the relevant banking procedures
- Keep all lines on the bar and wine list stocked and ordered in line with par levels.
- Carry out and record weekly line cleaning.
- To assist the Resident Manager in the appropriate scheduling of employees in line with Business requirements.
- To assist the Resident Manager in the training of new and existing staff with regards to departmental coaching and the importance of adhering to Health & Safety guidelines.
- To deputise for the Resident Manager when appropriate and assist with the smooth running of the daily operation.

PREREQUISITES:
A passion for saying yes is the answer now what is the question, taking pride in finding innovative solutions to the ever-changing requests that guests will bring us. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION:
Previous experience in a luxury Hotel setting, with focus on Restaurant and Bar operations. Someone who has demonstrated and interest in career development through cross departmental training or management training.

EXPERIENCE:
One Year plus service in a customer facing role within a luxury Hotel setting.
