Job Introduction

Staffordshire County Council's Children and Families Directorate is seeking dynamic and experienced professionals to join our Intelligence, Performance and Engagement Team (IPET) as Continuous Improvement Partners.

We are seeking to fill 3 new permanent roles that will partner with each of our assistant directors. Due to a high level of project activity, a further two temporary positions are also being recruited to. The areas are as follows:

- Children’s Social Care (permanent contract for between 30 & 37 hours per week)
- Education & Inclusion (permanent contract for between 30 & 37 hours per week)
- Wellbeing & Partnerships (permanent contract for between 30 & 37 hours per week)
- Early Years (12 months fixed term with potential for extension, 37 hours per week)
- Family Hubs (18 months fixed term with potential for extension, 37 hours per week)

Main Responsibilities
The Improvement Partners will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Children and Families Directorate. Collaborating with and facilitating senior colleagues and stakeholders to prioritise improvement activity and innovation, aligning objectives with the overall improvement strategy.

They will work closely with the Intelligence & Analysis Lead to provide assurance on the performance and quality of services through our monthly reporting processes. This will include oversight of project activity.

In addition to the business partner role, each post holder will lead on a different aspect of continuous improvement for the entire directorate. This could be for example our approach to project management, the co-ordination of consultation and engagement activity or preparing for inspections to ensure we are all working in a consistent way. You will lead a small focused team who will deliver directorate wide services in your thematic area.
