We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join us on a 6 month contract to support the Logistics Finance function to ensure delivery of budget through effective business partnering, in line with Screwfix strategy and core competencies.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent analytical, organisation and communication skills.

We believe that a hybrid, flexible working approach offers you and your colleagues - the best of both worlds. Face-to-face collaboration is an integral part of our warm, friendly culture, so you’ll work from one of our Distribution Centres in Stafford or Stoke 2-3 days a week, working flexibly around our core working hours of 10am-3pm. You will also need to be able to travel to our Head Office in Yeovil as and when required.

**Key responsibilities**
- Build trusted partnership with the business to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions promoting business improvements and cost reductions.
- Produce insightful management information to support the key stakeholders in understanding performance against Budget, Flex Budget and Forecasts.
- Conduct detailed analysis to support key decision making and effectively communicating any risks to delivering the plan.
- Consistently seek to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Work with the Screwfix and Wincanton Finance teams to ensure reports are simple, consistent, accurate, received in good time and process improvements are implemented wherever possible.
- Work with other Finance colleagues to share knowledge and ensure best practice is shared across the team.

**Required skills & experience**
- Qualified accountant
- Logistics / Operational experience
- Commercially aware and highly numerate
- Desire to identify opportunities and propose solutions
- Ability to communicate performance in a meaningful way to non-finance colleagues.
- Strong sense of ownership
- Flexibility and the ability to adjust to new demands
