Clinical Specialist Therapist- Westmarc Therapy

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. The shift pattern for this position is 8.30 - 16.30.

**Contract**: - Maternity Leave Cover, fixed term 12 months

You must have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and be a registered member of HCPC.

Using skills you have already acquired through past experience, you will build on these in a fast paced environment. Working to promote mobility independence with people who have experienced illness from birth, acute, trauma etc., you will be confident in your core therapeutic skills and have knowledge of local policies and procedures. You will work with people of all ages to overcome physical, mental, social and environmental barriers in order to live independent lives.

Covering a wide geographical area with bases and external clinics throughout the West of Scotland, you will work within these settings as well as completing domiciliary visits. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team you will be supported to enhance your knowledge and skills to enable you to become a clinical specialist therapist. You will enjoy a robust induction programme, learning about pressure care, assessment, provision and review of specialist equipment as well as being part of a team who have a passion for what they do.
