NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This role is based at West of Scotland Mobility and Rehabilitation Centre (WestMARC), Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus. The role involves administration support for clinical teams and patient groups within the West Of Scotland, coordination of clinical waiting lists ensuring patients are appointed within the Board’s waiting time standards. Service Support Officers support the delivery of care for patients referred to and contacting WestMARC including triage and coordination of repairs for both Prosthetics and Wheelchair patients. Service Support Officers support the coordination of multi-disciplinary clinics and domiciliary visits throughout West of Scotland including satellite locations within territorial health boards. Applicants should be education to higher standard or have equivalent knowledge and experience within an administration and or contact centre environment. Must be able to display excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels both with members of the public, staff and senior management colleagues.
