**Orb Recruitment Ltd** have an incredible opportunity available for 2 experienced Verification Officers to join our client - a market leading specialist in independent testing, validation and verification of systems designed to protect against hazardous ground gases - on a Full-Time, permanent basis

As a result of the recent introduction of the British Standard Code of Practice, our client provides specialist testing and verification for all new buildings, ensuring the the code of practice - which govern the installation of membrane systems is maintained and adhered to the highest standard.

**The Role**

Your main duties each day will include, but not be limited to;
- Visiting construction sites
- Liaising with Project Managers, Contractors, and Groundworkers
- Conducting verification analysis report - these reports then form the basis of a sites' certification, in order to pass building control and be a legally secure and compliant building.
- Working remotely from a home base - you will visit different construction sites, both commercial and residential, to ensure each site adheres to legislation and collate compliance reports.
- Converse with all levels of construction site staff, including management.
- Implement training schemes.
- Introduce quality assurance procedures.
- Perform independent third-party inspections, including photographing sites (on iPad) and upload to the CRIM.
- Be able to show an understanding at a technical level of all the different testing disciplines - holiday testing, earth leakage detection testing, pressurised lap testing, and moisture testing.
- Interpret data and produce reports about a site's compliance with legislation, with a view to achieving successful certification.

**The Individual**

As a Verification Officer, you will partake in an in-depth programme to cover all aspects of the role. This includes developing expert knowledge of standards, covering classroom theory as well as on-the-job, shadowing industry experts across different sites.
- Full, clean driving license is essential.
- Willing to travel for work to areas such as London, Scotland and more, including overnight stays.
- Understanding of the Construction industry, from either Education (relevant degree or college course), or from previous employment.
- Passionate about the Construction industry, with a keen interest to learn specifically about Quality Assurance procedures.
- Self-motivated and driven.
- Confident working remotely across the UK.
- Detail-orientated with an exceptional eye for specifics.
- Confident communicator.
- Able to build and maintain relationships with all members of staff in the Construction industry.
- Flexible attitude towards work
- Organised and efficient
- Valid CSCS card desirable, but not essential

Training as Verification Officer is continuous, with scope to partake in recognised courses accredited with authorities (PCA, NVQ, CPD, Radon Council) to create a singular proven professional route within the industry.

**Working Hours**
- 40 hours per week, flexible (may be finished in 3 hours on one day, and have more to work the following day.

**Salary**

This position pays a starting salary of between **£25,000 and £28,000 per year**, depending on experience and location.
