**Development Executive**

**Salary**: £26,500 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience

**Job Type**:Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17.00), Fixed term for 12 months with the possibility of extension/permanent contract

Our client cares for and presents to the public the homes of two of the greatest musicians ever to have lived in London.

George Frideric Handel lived at 25 Brook Street from 1723 until his death in 1759. It was here that Handel wrote and rehearsed his greatest works, including _Messiah_.In 1968, Jimi Hendrix moved into an adjoining flat at number 23.Here, in the only place he said he felt truly at home, Hendrix entertained, inspired, and collaborated with other icons of British 60s rock music.

The museum presents the buildings as an evolving celebration of Handel and Hendrix’s lives, sharing their music, their stories, and our collections as a source of learning, enjoyment, and inspiration for all.

**The Role**

There has never been a more exciting time to join the museum.The museum will re-open in May following the £3million ‘Hallelujah Project’ renovations, which will expand the museum’s footprint by more than 60%, complete the restoration of Handel’s home andcreate new displays about Handel and Hendrix and about London.

Working closely with the Director, the Development Executive will play a key role in ensuring the museum’s success and financial resilience, stewarding existing supporters and developing relationships with new donors.

The key responsibilities of this role are
- Administration of the museum’s friends and patrons’ programmes
- Developing and overseeing appeals to visitors and supporters
- Maintaining the RE_NXT supporter database and using it to its full potential to support prospect management and reporting
- Organising memorable events at the museum and elsewhere for stakeholders and donors

**About You**

The museum is looking for someone who is ready to make a significant contribution in a growing and ambitious organisation.
- You will have experience in fundraising roles in museums, heritage, or comparable environments
- You can demonstrate a track record of high standards of relationship management and fundraising
- A self-starter, you will be motivated to make a significant positive impact at the company by securing new supporters, creating memorable experiences for donors, and working with good humour in a tight-knit and busy team
- Experience of working in one or more areas of fundraising or a support role in a fundraising team
- Track record of achieving objectives
- Using fundraising databases and finance software to record donations and manage prospects
- Supporting the delivery of donor/stakeholder events
- ‘A’ Levels or equivalent
