Novum Executive is working with a global logistics company who are seeking a Business Development Manager in Air & Ocean Freight. The ideal candidate will be a driven individual from a 3PL and Freight Forwarding background who can join the team with an established network to hit the ground running.


Responsibilities


  • Identify and target new business opportunities in the freight forwarding industry with a key focus on Air & Ocean freight.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Support the Global Sales Team with pricing inquiries.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients.
  • Facilitate the completion of RFQ’s.
  • Work closely with carriers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to optimise the shipping process and resolve any logistical challenges.
  • Process shipping documents, customs clearance, and other necessary paperwork to ensure efficient cargo movement and pick-ups.


Requirements


  • 7- 10 years of Freight Forwarding & International Logistics experience.
  • Proven track record of new and existing business development in Air & Ocean freight forwarding.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies.
  • Ability to travel as required.
