As an Inpatient Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care. You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Pharmacy Team to help them fulfil their daily tasks and you will be encouraged to take the lead on well-being promotion clinics.
The role is based within the Inpatient Healthcare Unit (IHU) at HMP Thameside. The IHU is a 24 hour service providing care to prisoners with both mental and physical health problems, minor surgery, medical, rehabilitation/post-operative care and palliative care.

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £29,400 per annum - dependent on experience.
