Office Administrator

Akers Removals Ltd is a local removal company with a fantastic local reputation. We are looking for a reliable, dedicated and proactive Office Administrator to assist with the day to day running of the company.
You would be working within a small office so you must be trustworthy, reliable, and confident working as part of a small team. You will often be required to work alone, therefore you must be comfortable with this and competent in making decisions and managing your time by yourself.
**Your main tasks will include but are not limited to**:
- Answering phone calls and being the first point of contact for customers.
- Taking bookings and adding to the diary.
- Problem solving and working out methodical ways of arranging the bookings.
- Sending booking confirmations and appointment reminders.
- Creating job sheets and survey sheets.
- Requesting customer payments.
- Keeping on top of bookings, ensuring paperwork is all up to date.
- Following up on quotations.
- Dealing with any customer claims.
- Updating spreadsheets.
- Raising sales and purchase invoices.
- Filing.
- Scanning.
- Updating social media and the company website.
- Accepting deliveries.
**Required qualities**:
- Good all-round administration experience.
- Experience in the removals industry is an advantage.
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.
- Knowledge of the local area.
- Highly organised and proactive, with great attention to detail.
- Able to work on your own and work things out by yourself, but also able to take instructions.
- A driver with own transport (as we are in a rural location).
This is a permanent position. We are looking for someone who would like to grow with the company, and who thrives on learning and gaining more responsibility within our team. If you are looking for a slow-paced, non-progressive job, then this role won’t be for you.
**Hours**
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 09.00am - 5.00pm with a 30-minute unpaid break. Total of 37.5 hours per week.
**Holidays**
28 days per year including Bank Holidays. Holiday allowance is increased with length of service.

**Salary**: £30,000.00 per year
