**Job Title: Domestic Abuse Prevention Caseworker**

The domestic abuse prevention caseworker is responsible for providing individualised and tailored intervention to perpetrators in Southwark. Working closely with the service manager to develop suitable referral pathways and agreements/ protocols with key partners organisations.

The job involves working closely with staff that support women, men and children who are experiencing domestic abuse in their relationships.

**Responsibilities**
- In partnership with the Service Manager and Perpetrator Case Manager, develop suitable referral pathways and agreements/ protocols with key partner organisations that are the agreed referrers to the service [currently Children’s Social Care, Police, Probation, Housing providers, Mental Health services, and Substance Misuse services].
- Assess referrals received from partner organisations to establish from the outset the suitability of an intervention. The primary focus is all referrers’ capacity and commitment to hold their clients accountable for all forms of Domestic Abuse jointly with the Domestic Abuse Prevention caseworker, and for the duration of the intervention.
- Provide information and guidance to referrers to enhance their capacity to promote the range of Refuge services available, directly to survivors and children who are linked to any perpetrator identified for referral. Support referrers to obtain survivors’ consent for contact by the Independent Gender Violence Advocate IGVA team, prior to the Domestic Abuse Prevention caseworker’s direct engagement with perpetrators.
- Assess individuals referred to ascertain their suitability for a 1:1 intervention.
