We are looking for a Head of Domestic Abuse Services

**Salary**: £48,000 - £58,000

**Location**: Hammersmith (with travel across London)

**Contract**: Permanent

**Hours p/w**: 35 hours (some working from home up to 2 days)

**About the role**:
This is a new exciting permanent role. The postholder will be able to shape services, drive the implementation of the strategy, and will hold a key strategic role as part of Advance’s Senior Management Team. The post holder will ensure her services adhere to quality systems and best practice while leading and managing the domestic abuse services, developing policies and overseeing contracts.

The postholder will be responsible for not only developing and maintaining high quality services aligned with Advance’s aims but will also work to evoke systems change with statutory agencies by engaging with professionals, including commissioners and policy makers, to improve women’s experiences and journey of the system and make a sustainable impact on their lives. Advance works in partnership with other organisations as part of the co-ordinated community response. This post holder will hold a key role in terms of developing innovative responses to VAWG, influencing the response, and building strong relationships and engagement with voluntary and statutory partners and funders.

**About You**:
To be successful as the Head of Domestic Abuse Services you will need the below experience and skills:
You will be experienced of and have a proven track record of strategic leadership and management. You can demonstrate your experience of developing services at a senior level of management, ideally gained from working at a ‘Head of’ or Senior Services Management level previously. The postholder will deliver her experience of managing contracts, relationships and partnerships and knowledge of safeguarding particularly domestic abuse survivors with multiple disadvantages and needs and their children.

You will be a people person and have a breadth of experience surrounding the range of performance management and developing quality assurance systems. Highly developed in negotiating skills and ability to manage change. Lastly you will be skilled at being and creating an atmosphere of calm, proactive, solution focussed on challenging times.

The Team

The team is a diverse group that are high performing and cover multiple areas of work. They are a passionate team wanting to improve the world and support women and children experiencing domestic abuse. They work across London and compose of about 40 people covering a range of community-based projects from group work, core idva projects, multiple support projects, co-located services, domestic abuse caseworkers and outreach projects. The senior service managers are committed, have ample experience managing and working in domestic abuse services for a number of years, and are keen to share ideas and innovate.
