We are recruiting on a behalf of an organisation based in Richmond. The purpose of the role is to To lead the HR function and provide a high quality, business focused, flexible, and operational HR service
**Key responsibilities**
- Provide effective leadership and management of the HR team.
- Control and manage HR budgets.
- To ensure that recruitment complies with Safer Recruitment requirements and that all staff have appropriate DBS checks prior to appointment in line with best practise and legislative requirements.
- Support and coach line managers in the implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Ensure the HR policy framework is reviewed regularly in light of best practice, legislative changes and business needs and it is supported by clear processes.
- Provide regular reports on key HR metrics including recruitment, staff turnover and absence levels to the Executive Team and the Governing Body.
- Provide advice, support, and guidance to college managers on employee issues.
- Maintain and develop Human Resources Information Systems.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual and statutory employment practice.
- To ensure that staff rewards and benefits are clear, competitive, regularly benchmarked and well managed.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a programme of activities that support employee wellbeing.
- Manage compliance and completion of all HR administration, including tracking systems.
- Manage and case work relating to grievance, disciplinary and capability issues and advise managers of legal obligations and best practice.
- Ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to requirements in terms of training and practice relating to Safeguarding, Health and Safety and promotion of Equality and Diversity.

- Demonstrable experience in HR with evidence of the aptitude to progress to a management role.
- Level 5 CIPD qualified
- Problem solving skills
- Organisation skills
- Excellent report writing skills appropriate to a range of audiences
- Understand the important of confidentiality and data
- Good attention to detail with great accuracy
- IT Savvy
