**Summary**:
Our Sourcing and Contracting (S&C) organisation is here to deliver high-complexity sourcing and negotiation on behalf of our business. The team plays a pivotal role in all our existing businesses and new ventures as it is responsible for capturing significant value, as well as mitigating risk in bp’s supply chain.

As an Advisor you will work within an agile team of other Sourcing Analysts and Advisors delivering a key sub-set of our global activity, enhancing the concept of centralising activity post bp’s reinvent. You will be executing all end-to-end Source-to-Contract activity in your remit in an efficient and effective manner. This spend will cover a wider variety of categories across bp, but will be focused upon the more complex, safety critical and higher value cases.

**You will**:
Deliver high-value, sophisticated negotiations and collaborative contracting
Share global findings and standard methodologies to ensure the continuous improvement of the bp S&C strategies
Provide expert commercial and contractual advice to internal and external partners
Collaborating with Supply and business Facing colleagues and an array of stakeholders you will consolidate, standardise and automate activity as well as provide critical expertise that will support the delivery of sophisticated commercial models and alternative contracting mechanisms
Support improvement of safety, quality, delivery, cost and cash flow through tactics including supplier rationalisation, global sourcing opportunities and inflation management
Utilise market intelligence by reviewing and integrating market conditions, competitor information, price concerns and new regulations
Supporting your less experienced S&C colleagues in their cases as well as delegate on behalf of your Discipline Lead (Line Manager)

**You will need**:
Hands on sourcing and contracting experience across a variety of sophisticated spend categories, including services and materials
Can build and negotiate high-value complex contracts which deliver long-term value through the allocation of obligations and risk
Effective communication skills using a range of styles and approaches to gain dedication and support from diverse partners to help achieve business outcomes, create acceptance for decisions and build consensus
Open to change and encourage new ways of working
Use your customers’ feedback to continuously improve your performance
