**Office Assistant**

**The Company**

A Clifton based independent company of actuarial, consultancy, investment and administration services to the pensions industry is looking for a bright individual to join their team as an Office Assistant.

**The Role**
- Answer the main office switchboard and be the first point of contact, field calls or pass accurate messages to the appropriate staff member where necessary
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail, which includes collecting post from reception at the agreed times and monitoring any group admin Mailboxes.
- Organising and maintaining storage of physical post items in the office after scanning.
- Prepare outgoing mail for distribution, to include printing and correctly franking items Including appropriate handling of recorded/special delivery items.
- Monitor and maintain office supplies.
- Arrange meetings as required and manage the booking of the meeting room. Organise catering for meetings where requested.
- Pensions administration duties to include dealing with member enquires, returning original documents, data changes and data input, issuing payslips, organising PAYE payments, basic benefit calculations, and processing member events.

This role would suit an organised quick learner with an eye for detail and good numeracy, literacy and communication skills. They should have initiative to identify tasks and work independently, managing own workflow within designated timescales and SLAs.

**Basic requirements are**:

- General office experience (preferred but not essential)
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade C (4/5) or above including Mathematics and English
- Competent PC skills (including the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook)

**Additional Details**

The full time salary for this position is £20k per annum, based on a 36.25 hour week.

Holiday entitlement is twenty-five days a year, plus bank holidays, with the option of purchasing up to an additional 2 weeks holiday each year.

The company offers a stakeholder pension scheme after three months service.

The role can offer the successful applicant opportunities to progress a career in pensions administration with on the job training provided. HPW also support training through the Pension Management Institute (PMI) Pathways qualifications.
