**About The Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to join us at allpay. This is a great opportunity for a talented HSE Advisor to get involved in a range of comprehensive services to allpay.
The role will lead on HSE compliance, quality and regulatory training relevant to the business, enabling continuous improvements and recertification of relevant standards.
As the HSE Advisor, you will:
- Work closely with the Head of Estates and Facility Manager to develop efficient and scalable models that add value, ensuring alignment to the business, supporting the Board and business functions to operate safely and legally.
- Develop a pro-active HSE plan that enables the business to develop its culture, strategy and approach to the next level.
- Review and make recommendations on environmental strategies, working closely with key business areas to ensure right solutions are identified and planned for.
- Develop an audit, observation and spot-checking plan for the whole business to ensure relevant standards are met and exceeded, working closely with the internal audit manager.
- Undertake regular reviews of contractor, consultant and visitor HSE procedures.
- Ensure the business is legally compliant with all aspects of the HSE.
- Play a lead role in relevant HSE forums and meetings, developing plans and actions making recommendations as appropriate.
- Take responsibility for ensuring sufficient trained first aid representatives and fire marshals exist in the business along with ensuring fire drill programme plans and auditory requirements.
- Work alongside the learning & development manager to ensure the provision of external and internal training.
- Be the main point of contact for all environment and building energy performance requirements, developing the sites plans.
- Be responsible for recommending appropriate plans for implementation change following any site reviews.
- Have a keen focus on environmental responsibilities from waste management to energy usage, identifying opportunities and making recommendations for improvements.
**About You**:
- NEBOSH general certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent as a minimum requirement.
- Relevant and appropriate training qualifications or equivalent demonstratable experience.
- Proven experience in a safety advisor role working with ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO50001
- Proven ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.
- Ability to think strategically but also be hands on and delivery focused.
- Experience and working knowledge of transport regulations regarding driving hours and tachograph rules.
- Experience of working on sites with forklift operation.
- Proven experience of managing varied and challenging projects to timescales and managing change effectively.
- Ability to tailor and flex communication and engagement style accordingly, managing cross functional relationships at all levels of seniority.
- Proven ability to prioritise accordingly whilst managing customers and business expectations accordingly.
- Proven experience and knowledge of all relevant and legislative requirements such as COSHH, RIDDOR, HASAW, HSG65.
- Proven experience and knowledge of ESOS, SECR and Carbon Net Zero environmental and sustainability excellence.
