We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) has an exciting opportunity for two Environmental Health professionals to join our team in the Pollution & Community Protection Team. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant Environmental Health qualification accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and hold the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) Certificate of Registration in Environmental Health.

Job Overview
  • Principal Officer - Pollution and Community Protection Team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing professional advice and guidance on environmental health matters, including pollution control and community protection. As a key member of the team, you will work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the community.

A competitive salary of £41,513 per annum, plus a pro rata market rate supplement of £2,000, is available for this role. In addition, you will receive a generous holiday entitlement of 30 days (pro rata) plus bank holidays, flexible working arrangements, and payment of professional membership fee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support to the team on environmental health issues.
  • Carrying out inspections and investigations to identify potential hazards and enforcement action as necessary.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to protect public health and safety.
  • Working with other departments and external agencies to address environmental health concerns.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting to senior management as required.
