Summary

The Fleet Licensing Team license all Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Taxi drivers, private hire operators and hackney carriage and private hire vehicles in Wiltshire. The team are based in Riverway Depot Trowbridge and Kennet House Devizes and undertake vehicle appointments in Devizes and Salisbury.

You will benefit from being part of the Council’s flexible working and flexitime policy and working from home where possible but a requirement to attend the office will always exist.

**About the role**

You will be responsible for dealing with drivers and operators to ensure that the drivers, operators and their vehicles are licensed correctly, ensuring that licences are issued in a timely manner and payment is received and all key documentation is valid and in place. The role utilises the Northgate M3 database system to manage drivers and their documents.

**About you**

Excellent people skills are required as well as an eye for detail and the ability to deal with difficult situations. Experience of the taxi industry and the legislation around it would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided. Good standards of Communication, Literacy and Numeracy are essential.
