- Within Care and Rehabilitation Services, the philosophy of our prisons is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them to re-integrate into mainstream society on release. We seek to normalise prison conditions as far as possible to reflect life in the outside community. Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe and causes of prison stress are minimised. Central to our philosophy is the relationship between staff and prisoners. Our training and operational practices emphasise the need to treat prisoners with dignity and respect and G4S staff build positive and supportive relationships with the prisoners in their care. HMP & YOI Parc accommodates 1038 convicted male adult prisoners and remand/ convicted young offenders and young people in a secure but modern environment.
- We now have an opportunity for an Interventions Facilitator to join our team at HMP Parc.
- Our team's purpose is to lift people up and give them a chance to take control of their own lives and choices in their own time and way.
- An intervention facilitator would possess the drive, knowledge, experience and motivation that enables them to be viewed as the go to team for delivering local alternative innovations, supporting other staff members and widening their scope for personal development.
- In the role they would take a lead in the delivery of alternative meaningful support with unique and refreshing approaches towards mental health interventions, informed trauma support, focus on well being, increasing self efficacy and self esteem, developing the communities across the Prison and deliver high intensity accredited interventions and / or complex medium intensity interventions

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver accredited interventions aimed at personal development, increasing living skills, recovery interpartner violence and high intensity violence treatment needs.
- Complete PNAs (when trained)
- Deliver the Restorative Justice and Restorative Approaches packages at HMP & YOI Parc
- Take an active part in developing & delivering alternative interventions focused on increasing positivity, engaging in self improvement, improving wellbeing and building a feeling of self worth for prisoners.
- Develop and deliver support networks aimed at improving mental health & trauma informed treatment
- To actively engage all staff groups as role models of rehabilitative culture in self presentation, interpersonal skills and conflict resolution approaches.
- To promote and deliver group and 1-1 services focused on substance free living.
- Engage with and provide support for prisoners as part of the recovery pathway.
- Engage with and provide support for prisoners on the resettlement pathway.
- To work collaboratively with other areas in developing and delivery of services to individual communities across the prison.

**Formal Education/Training**:

- None specific but evidence of ability to write professional and literate reports necessary.
