**Contract**: Permanent: Hours of Work: 39 per week, on a rota basis

**Salary**:£9.50 - £10.00 per hour

**Job brief**:
To assist kitchen staff in the preparation of consumable items and to clean all kitchen working areas and equipment.

**The roles’ responsibilities** include but not limited to:

- To assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the preparation of all consumable items and to relieve in their absence
- To prepare vegetables and salads.
- To assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast
- To assist in the preparation of picnic lunches
- To maintain standards of food and kitchen hygiene
- To maintain standards in food preparation
- To clean all kitchen and food preparation areas.
- To clean all kitchen equipment.
- To clean outside dustbin areas and to dispose of rubbish in line with House requirements.
- To help to lift and move heavy equipment.
- To engage and interact with guests in a way that promotes a warm and friendly atmosphere within the Country House Hotel.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is not essential but the right attitude is.
- Be naturally outgoing & sociable.
- A good team player.
- Flexibility in working hours, availability at evenings and weekends.
- Excellent customer service skills.
