**The job itself**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Invest East Yorkshire team within Economic Development as a Business Centre Maintenance/Handyperson. The role will support the reception and management team in maintaining the council’s portfolio of business centres.
We have several business centres located across the East Riding providing high quality office & workshop accommodation let to new and small businesses along with conference and meeting space to hire. We are looking to recruit a part-time maintenance/handyperson to undertake various duties across all the business centres to ensure the upkeep of the business centres both internally and externally.
The post can be physically demanding and very varied, with duties to include general repairs and maintenance, DIY (including painting and minor repairs), cleaning and gardening. Good communication and customer care skills are essential.
The post will involve supporting the receptionist/facility coordinators in the setting up of the conference & meeting rooms, problem solving, managing tenant’s expectations, health and safety and a host of other related duties.
You will be required to work from any of our business centres so use of a car and willingness to travel is essential.
