We have a new opportunity to join our team as a Qualifying Supervisor, leading the way on continuous improvement of the delivery of our electrical testing and installations.
**Working Hours**: Full time, 40 hours per week
**Salary**: £41,000 per annum

**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Responsible for the monitoring of certification and compliance with all necessary regulations and legislation.
- Liaise directly with the NICEIC.
- Supervise your team of electricians, on-site, delivering the electrical service.
- To support a consistent day to day delivery of high-quality customer service through support and guidance ensuring that performance is achieved and maintained with regard to service excellence and legislative standards.
- To undertake quality safety and compliance audits providing documented feedback, supporting compliance of electrical safety, including subsequent actions such as formal investigations, training.
- To undertake health & safety audits, ladder inspections & PAT testing.
- To be the first point of contact for the team out in the field for any technical advice/queries.
- To carry out onsite inspections/audits with the client representative.
- To support relevant training and qualifications being undertaken within the team to include liaising with compliance to ensure all relevant training is booked and attended.
- Play an active part in ensuring apprentices are developing by supporting them and their mentors. Liaise with the training provider to review progress reports.
- Ensure test equipment is in good working order and calibrated annually.
- Assist the contract managers in recruitment by providing technical support at interviews and practical assessments.
- To ensure the provision and implementation of Health and Safety policy to assist in the provision of a safe place of work and ensure that safe systems of work are put in place to ensure Health and Safety hazards are managed appropriately on a day-to-day basis.
- To take personal responsibility for demonstrating the aims of the Gasway Equality and Diversity objectives.
- Ensure that I.T Security and Data Protection Legislation is always adhered to.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations, current edition of BS 7671 (including latest amendments), and the codes of practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken
- Extensive staff management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of building and health & safety legislation/regulations
- Experience of management and delivery of complex operational issues
- Demonstratable strong communication skills with a variety of stakeholders, clients and customers
**Essential Skills and Qualifications**:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification/s held)
- 17th Edition of BS7671
- 18th Edition of BS7671
- ECS Health & Safety Qualified
- Inspection & Testing Qualification (2391 or 2394/2395)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft packages and tablets
